The CID deploys services, tools and network to support these structures in their national and international development.

Through the CID, Bourges Plus strengthens its legitimacy as a major defense territory and its means to support and promote innovation "from concept to market".

The CID reinforces Bourges Plus in its role as a large regional defense agglomeration and in its identity as a military city. The CID is an important part of the territory's strategy, enables the economic services of Bourges Plus to provide concrete solutions to the central issues of innovation within the defense industry and the business development at the international level of regional SMEs. The implementation of a specific support program for specialized start-ups (DEFSTART) will initiate a co-development dynamic to multiply partnerships with industrial, academic, public and innovative French and foreign companies.
